Are you astroturf?, You will pay for your neighbor's abortions, GO TO A TOWN HALL, Congress Gets New Jets

1) Become a part of the mob! Attend an Obama Care Townhall near you! See: http://hannity.com/Article.asp?id=1444006&spid=16420 1a) Gov't insurance would allow coverage for abortion WASHINGTON – Health care legislation before Congress would allow a new government-sponsored insurance plan to cover abortions, a decision that would affect millions of women and recast federal policy on the divisive issue. Federal funds for abortions are now restricted to cases involving rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother. Abortion opponents say those restrictions should carry over to any health insurance sold through a new marketplace envisioned under the legislation, an exchange where people would choose private coverage or the public plan. …For years, abortion rights supporters and abortion opponents have waged the equivalent of trench warfare over restrictions on federal funding. Abortion opponents have largely prevailed, instituting restrictions that bar federal funding for abortion, except in cases of rape and incest or if the mother's life would be endangered. A law called the Hyde amendment applies the restrictions to Medicaid, forcing states that cover abortion for low-income women to do so with their own money. Separate laws apply the restrictions to the federal employee health plan and military and other programs. The health overhaul would create a stream of federal funding not covered by the restrictions. At one point, U.S. Rep. Mike Ross sat with his head in his hands while the crowd shouted. He and fellow Democratic Rep. Vic Snyder told audience members at a forum at Arkansas Children's Hospital that they wouldn't support a completely government-run, single-payer health insurance plan. "But that's what Obama wants!" an audience member shouted, leading to more heckling. …"I've said this several times but let me see if I can make it a little more clear," Ross said. "I don't represent Speaker (Nancy) Pelosi or President Obama or (House Finance Committee Chairman) Barney Frank. I represent the people of Arkansas and I'm not voting for any bill that forces any one plan on anyone, period." Many audience members cheered loudly when Ross said he wouldn't back anything that would provide federal funding for abortions or pay for health insurance for illegal immigrants. See: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0809/25891.html#ixzz0NS4SuNE6 1d) White House advises Dems on health care protests WASHINGTON – Top White House officials counseled Democratic senators Thursday on coping with disruptions at public events on health care this summer, officials said, and promised the party and allies would respond with twice the force if any individual lawmaker is criticized in television advertising. White House aides distributed briefing materials explaining to senators the points Obama is stressing, as well as how to answer commonly asked questions. See: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090807/ap_on_go_co/us_health_care_overhaul 1e) From the Oval Office, Obama Orders Up His Own Union Mob RUSH: "A day after the White House dismissed protesters at town-hall events as people sent from opposition groups in Washington, the administration's political wing began mobilizing millions of its own supporters.  "'We've got to get out there,' President Obama said in an e-mail message sent Wednesday to the more than 13 million supporters of his campaign group, Organizing for America. These canvasses, town halls and gatherings only make a difference if you turn up to knock on doors, share your views and show your support,' he said. 'So here's what I need from you: Can you commit to join at least one event in your community this month?'" It's Obama that is Astroturfing! It is Obama who is manufacturing right from the White House, sending out his brown shirts to head up opposition to genuine American citizens who want no part of what Barack Obama stands for and is trying to stuff down our throats.   See: http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_080609/content/01125109.guest.html 1f) Reid: GOP 'run by a talk show host' Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid launched his harshest attack on the Republican Party in months, claiming the GOP is "being run by a talk show host."  Reid, armed with a patch of Astroturf, slammed Republicans for sponsoring town hall attacks on Democrats and accused the party of waging a barricade on Democratic efforts to pass health care reform legislation.  "I just want to show you what Astroturf really is," Reid said to laughter. "They're taking their cues from talk show hosts, Internet rumor mongers, and insurance rackets."  "I just think, as I've said before, it's not often that you try to blow yourself up, but that's obviously what they're trying to do with all this vexatious stuff they're doing with these meetings, the birthers. It's a party being run by a talk show host," Reid said.  A senior Republican Senate aide shot back: "Harry Reid will be surprised to learn that not only do the people he routinely insults have opinions, they also vote. Right now the 'astroturf' is out-polling Harry Reid 60-40 in Nevada."  Help defeat this idiot. Talk about the investigation started Friday, when Hernando County administration staffer JoJo DiViccaro started receiving calls about 10:15 a.m. complaining that Haa was making threats and racist comments about President Barack Obama. …Haa also confirmed Monday that he had spoken with the Secret Service, calling the investigation a "waste of time." The topic of discussion on Friday was health care, Haa said, and not Obama.  "There's one fruitcake in town out there trying to start all these rumors," he said. "I would never stand for anyone threatening the president. We do not have that kind of edgy talk on there." I'm trying to remember, um, how much they praised the auto industry and the CEOs for being responsible with their time by flying in a private jet to come talk to Congress, and then after they excoriated the people in private jets then unbeknownst to you, most likely, they offered a tax credit for anybody who purchased a Gulf Stream or private jet. Did you know that?  Did you know that? They are watching very closely," said an Israeli official. …The U.S. the past few weeks has been publicly protesting Israeli actions in Jerusalem on the municipal level, making an international incident out of individual homes. Yesterday, for the second time the past few weeks, the Obama administration summoned Israel's ambassador to Washington to protest Israel asserting its municipal rights in eastern sections of Jerusalem which the Palestinians claim as a future capital. Muslim leader wants Temple rebuilt Jewish Sanhedrin rabbis unite with Turk on common cause With the Middle East still in chaos and rumors of war in the air, the idea of rebuilding the Jerusalem Temple on a foundation occupied and administered by Islamic militants might seem fanciful – even preposterous.  But the author of a new book, "The Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth About the Real Nature of the Beast," returned from Turkey recently with news that a prominent Islamic teacher and best-selling author and Jewish Sanhedrin rabbis are conspiring to do just that. …Adnan Oktar, who uses the pen name of Harun Yahya, is a controversial but highly influential Muslim intellectual and author with more than 65 million of his books in circulation worldwide. Oktar recently met with three representatives from the re-established Jewish Sanhedrin, a group of 71 Orthodox rabbis and scholars from Israel, to discuss how religious Muslims, Jews and Christians can work together on the project. See: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=105938 8) Russian Subs Seen Off U.S. East Coast (more on those Russian Subs that are nothing to worry about) WASHINGTON -- Two Russian attack submarines were detected patrolling the waters off the East Coast of the U.S. in recent days, including one that came as close as 200 miles offshore, according to U.S. military officials. Although Pentagon officials monitoring the subs' movements didn't consider them threatening, one senior military official said the patrols were unusual, given the weakened state of the Russian navy and the failure of Moscow to conduct such missions in years. …During the Cold War, subs from both the U.S. and the Soviet Union regularly patrolled the North Atlantic in an elaborate game of naval brinkmanship intended to track rival fleets and position themselves strategically in case of war. …The Times reported that one of the subs had recently made port in Cuba, but the official said the U.S. has no confirmation of that move and that the second sub is believed instead to have remained close to Greenland. The submarine patrols are the latest series of recent military operations by the Russians -- many of which Moscow dropped in the years following the Cold War -- which analysts believe are an attempt to reassert the stature of its military.
